Software for Chemistry and Materials (SCM) are the developers of the Amsterdam Modeling Suite a very highly regarded computational suite used by academic and industrial researchers in all areas of chemistry, materials science, and engineering.
I heard that they now support Apple Silicon and so I contacted them to check and sure enough there is an Apple Silicon download.

Once installed the version info confirms this is a build for ARM.

I had a quick look at the tutorials and ran through a few examples and I can confirm it all works as expected and it is stunningly fast.

I generated a minimised structure of ethanol (it was either that or caffeine).

These tools can be used to address a vast range of scientific questions and it is great to see such a high performance application on Apple Silicon.
